Fresh fruit and vegetables are good source of necessary nutrition and adding vitamin & mineral supplements can help filling any gaps in your diets. By balancing good choice of nutrition food at home with your daily fast food or junk food requirements, it will create a balance in the diet for your healthy life.
Following is a list of Vitamins and Minerals necessary for our body and its source:
Antioxidants:
Our body cells are composed of molecules that contain electrons, and if a molecule loses an electron, molecule becomes unstable, and to stabilise it try to get an electron from neighbour molecule and unstable the neighbour molecule. This effect unstable many other molecules of the body, which can cause aging effect such as wrinkles. This process is called oxidation that could be caused by many reasons such as, metabolism, alcohol, smoking or stress.
Our body can produce antioxidants to respond against the oxidation. But as age increases body slow down producing the antioxidants.
In addition to healthy diet or good multivitamin supplying Vitamin A, C, E and selenium following four substances should be included in your diet:
Beta-carotene
It is not a vitamin but converts itself into vitamin A. researchers have found that sufficient beta-carotene in the diet may slow the aging caused due to its antioxidant properties.

Selenium
Researchers have found that selenium deficiency can impair the immune system and allow rapid growth of various strains of virus.
Sources: Brown rice, whole grains, brazil nuts, chicken, tuna, salmon, garlic & dairy products.
Grapeseed extract
Studies proves that grapeseed extract prevents cell growth in leukaemia, breast and lung cancer cells.
